The worst customer service I have ever encountered. Firstly, its outsourced to another country where the employees are trained to provide canned responses.
If you ask for a supervisor they will tell you the supervisor can't help either. If you press, they will either ignore you outright or the supervisor will continue with the fake apologies. If you get transferred out of the office, you get more canned responses and are eventually ghosted. Same with the X help account.
They don't help, they just ignore you until you go away.
Citing their own posted policies does not move them either. Thieves and liars.

Verified ReviewerAs a delivery driver, unfairly cancelled a batch on me
I was shopping for an order, they cancelled my batch and Instacart support blamed me for their app allowing my thumb to slip. It was embarrassing, humiliating and degrading.
I wish for Instacart to fix the issue.
I spent my gas and time, and didnt get my pay I was supposed to.
I was blamed unfairly saying its a you problem not an Instacart problem well this doesnt feel like they honour their code of we respect your finances and your time
This happened between 10:15 am and 10:30 am on Sunday April 27, they didnt let me tell the customers I couldnt shop for them and another driver will take care of their order.
They claimed to respect unfair cancellation rates this doesnt show it one bit.
I expect a full apology for their app faulty, and I expect for a reimbursement for their app to store complications.

They charged my card for a service I didn't ask ask for, when I found out I asked for a cancelation and refund. They canceled but refused to refund the money despite telling me they would.
They claimed they refunded it, but to the wrong credit card. I told then this card is no longer active but they refuse to take responsibility and even accused me of lying. They claim they refunded me but since they used an inactive card, they must have got the money back, they refuse to refund it to the correct card.
Its funny how they had the right card to charge me but when it comes to getting my money back they suddenly they don't have the correct card number. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!

They took $340.00 and a tip of $40.00. Total of $380.00 plus taxes and fees $400.00.
I waited 2 1/2 hrs; no one showed up, called, or anything. This was Easter. I had just gotten out of the hospital in renal failure. Had no food, so I ordered things to make sandwiches with water.
Plus, etc. I called grocery customer support. They said my shopper left after placing my order. There was something the shopper had asked for help to find: pimento cheese that was a special brand.
The shopper was upset about something that happened after asking for help. Customer support told me my $400+ would be returned after about 10 days. I managed retail of 600 to 800 people. I told Instacart support they should have called in one of their shoppers, paid them the $40.00 tip they were holding from my order.
She said, 'Cannot?' They always charge $50.00 extra after the completion for 10+ days; they say they are waiting for approval. Instacart gets approval at the time of sale. Long story short, they have my money.
They never delivered my groceries. We had no food on Easter.

I like to speak to an actual agent because I had an issue with a batch I picked up yesterday. I was making my delivery now.
I didnt find it. The customer canceled it and then I learned later that the batch was taken away, but Ive already was shopping. Did you get paid for it? Does that they did not have the item and see as if I was negligent in that work I need to contact someone when these things happen immediately because Im always kinda hard to go to the app to contact anyone.
I am hoping someone to get back to me very soon because I shouldve gotten paid for that.
I went to the store and start shopping. Could you find the item the customer said refund it that the request was a refund if it was not found, I did that, but I would not close out for some reason.

Non-English speaking shoppers are using store employees to shop for them. Sprouts in Nashville gets many non-English shoppers using employees to do their work, making employees turn away from their work.
These shoppers are being paid to do nothing. They are ruining jobs!!!

I just tried to order food from Instacart. I selected a local store, and they changed it to a store an hour away.
When I tried to change the order, they cancelled it and refused to refund my money.
I was told that it would take 7 days for it to go back into my account. Because of this, I'm unable to buy my groceries until Monday, when I can talk to the bank.

I never heard anything from them.
Some shoppers didn't bother putting items in bags, simply left items (FOOD) on the hallway floor.
The topper: yesterday I went to the website's live chat, and the customer service rep. couldn't or wouldn't tell me what an additional charge was for- my receipts said 'Order Delivery ID,' ranging from $3.46 to $18.03; I've never ordered 'high-value items,' never been asked for signature or my ID card, all I can figure is they've charged me for taking a picture of the items after leaving the items in front of my door.
I also want to add: it seems most of the Instacart shoppers take multiple orders at a time so they can get tips from as many customers as possible while shorting customers on service.

Request for Account Review and Reactivation
Dear Instacart Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I recently attempted to sign up for an Instacart account and completed all the required steps.
However, my account was automatically deactivated shortly after activation. Upon contacting support, I was informed that the account was suspended due to a potential duplicate account.
I believe this may have occurred due to the phone numbers involved. I initially registered using the number **708-628-****** (a Metro by T-Mobile number I purchased at a discounted rate), but it seems this number may have already been associated with another account. As a result, I updated my phone number to my primary number, **312-597-******, and was placed on a waitlist.
A few days later, the account appeared to be activated, but was then deactivated again. I have already submitted my Social Security Number and drivers license for verification. I would like to kindly request a thorough review of my submitted documents to confirm that I do not have any duplicate accounts.

I won a gift card for completing a survey and had to answer a math question, which I did, but heard nothing back. It's been almost a week of trying to get my winnings from them.
I keep getting the run around from support. I emailed the sweepstakes and got nothing back. Everything with this company is like pulling teeth and very stressful. The customer service is awful.
It seems only with Instacart do you win something and don't receive your winnings.
After I receive my $300, I will be closing my Instacart account and won't use them again. DoorDash, Uber, and Skip all provide grocery delivery in my area, so it's time to move on to more respectful and competent platforms.
The total disrespect and outright lies from customer service are surprising - I'm amazed Instacart is still operating. Management might want to get a hold of themselves before people stop using Instacart.
