On my 18 at 12:27 got a Costco order for Leanne. Long story short customer needed 12 white wine and 12 red wine. In my head I was repeating 24 so accidentally I got 24 bottles of each. At checkout my card wasnt working so cashiers told me to try again. Didnt work. Supervisor took me to another register since there was a long line behind me and told me to try my card again. Didnt work. Contacted customer support and they transferred me to safety and trust. I told them this is the first time this happened and Im not sure its because customer added 4 more items to the order. He said *** take a look and fix it. He told me to try the card again and it went through. I delivered the groceries and came back and my account was deactivated. Trying to figure out why. While I was messaging customer support I noticed I got 24 extra bottles. I told to go back and get it and return. I called customer and she said can I just keep them and have Instacart charge me. I said ok great. Emailed probably 10 times and told safety and support what happened. Hours later they told send me an email of the problem and to explain which I did. This was a honest mistake on my part which could have been prevented if safety and trust didnt make the card go through. Then they blocked my emails and said thanks for your service. Ive been with Instacart for over 2 years and totally love it and have a 5 star. Customers and store employees love me. Very organized clean and honest. I would appreciate if someone would look into this. I could have returned the bottles from customer or been charged myself or safety and trust could have told me while I was in the store and the card was declining it was for the wines and everything would have been fixed. I even got customers personal cell number so you can call her and ask. I will give if needed
