Honestly, I'm not sure how this company is still alive after so many complaints and a major lawsuit against them in 2017.

Anyways, they have spread their disgusting, unethical business model to Canada just a few a months ago. Their new policy is to not provide their customer with an in-store receipt so they can hide how much they marked up the prices.

In other words, they're basically pulling numbers out of their {{Redacted}}, since they can charge you whatever.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

You are buying from Instacart NOT the store your order is coming from. You pay Instacart and Instacart sends a shopper to the store..

making the store receipt belonging to Instacart. instacart recommends the shopper to keep it for her records in case itโ€™s every questioned for any reason. So Instacart does provide you your receipt in the email they send.. You would not go to a car dealer pay for a break job and demand their receipt for the break pads..

Yes, the shoppers are told not to put the in store receipt in the bags/hand to customer because you didnโ€™t pay the actual in store price. Theyโ€™ll literally terminate the shoppers and drivers if they provide the customers an in store receipt.

Also, itโ€™s not the drivers and shoppers that are the issue. Itโ€™s literally instacart themselves.

They actually slave their drivers and treat them horribly. Iโ€™ve had drivers come deliver to me in tears.

Same deal here and I am sick of multi texts from me stating remove tip youauto added, and remove charge for chocolate candy I didnโ€™t order. It was chocolate covered nuts!

Back & forth endlessly about me insisting I get my paper receipt and itโ€™s the against the law to refuse it! Oh they sneak charges in there too! Odd charges showing up and I check by phone and my PAPER bank statements too! Some of the shoppers were great but the bosses muscle down on the good ones and donโ€™t let us know who is delivering as they did previously.

Taking advantage of people for sure! Thieves are the people behind those company emails trying to bs me why I canโ€™t have a paper receipt.

When I knew my guy, I got it and tipped him cash. True Gem but havenโ€™t seen him lately.
